about

The project Songs Between… happened in 1992, as a stage tour and a recording. On stage and in studio, this became an exciting mixture of four independent characters. This was a unique co-operation between Chris Cutler, Sten Sandell, Lars “Lachen” Jonsson and Niklas Billström. The result was a music beyond borders and traditions; An expression between cultures, between ancient and modern forms.
Four songs were released by Bauta Records on a CD-Ep in 1993 with live- and studiomaterial, edited and mixed at “The Forest” by Lachen J. When that edition was sold out, a longer CD was released in 2010, with more livesongs from the tour in 92. But also three newer songs, which were composed and demo-recorded in 93 for a second tour – that never took place.
